VP Transfer Eastbrook

Grasslands Public Schools is pleased to announce that Marlyssa Willford will be transferring to Eastbrook School as Vice Principal beginning in the 2025–2026 school year.

Marlyssa has been a dedicated member of the Uplands School leadership team and is recognized for her student-first mindset, collaborative spirit, and commitment to growth. She began her teaching career at Eastbrook and is excited to return to a community that helped shape her early in her journey as an educator.

Marlyssa is passionate about building strong school cultures where every student feels seen, supported, and empowered. Her leadership style is grounded in connection and advocacy, and she brings a strong understanding of both instructional practice and school-wide support.

“I appreciate the connections I've built with staff, students, and their families as a teacher and vice principal at Uplands Elementary School.  Working alongside hardworking, knowledgeable, and passionate staff has moulded me into the leader I am today. I look forward to reconnecting with the Eastbrook School community, where I began my teaching career, and look forward to collaborating with and learning from its vibrant staff.  I am excited to work with Mr. Zottl and further develop my leadership skills.  A quote that has defined my time at Uplands, and which I will carry with me, is: ‘Every child deserves a champion - an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection, and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be.’ - Rita Pierson.” - Marlyssa Willford

Please join us in welcoming Marlyssa back to Eastbrook School and congratulating her on this exciting next step in her leadership journey!
